CitrisSan® Lemon Citrus (citrus limon) 

Lemons are a symbol of cleanliness and purity with documented use dating back to 800 BC. Today, lemon oil extracts are used in many household and personal care applications for its refreshing scent. Lemon Oil is 100% pure and natural, and cold-pressed from Citrus limon (L) .

Antimicrobial Properties 

Lemons are known for their antimicrobial properties. A 2017 book, "Phytochemicals in Citrus: Applications in Functional Foods,"describes how solvents made with lemon peel show antimicrobial activity against salmonella, staphylococcus and other pathogenic bacteria. 

CitrisSan® Lime Citrus (citrus aurantifolia)

Lime Oil is 100% pure and natural cold expeller-pressed from the peels and fruit of Citrus known for its purifying properties. Lime essential oil is extracted from fresh lime peels by means of cold compression.  In some cases, lime essential oil can be extracted from dried peels through steam distillation. The resulting oil has a very strong citrus scent and a light green/yellow color.


Antimicrobial Properties 

Lime essential oil may also reduce growth of bacteria.  Lime essential oil have many of the same unique antimicrobial properties as Lemon essential oil.    

CitrisSan® Tangerine Citrus
(Citrus tangerina)

Tangerine essential oil is extracted by cold pressing the rind of the tangerine fruit. Tangerines, which are part of the Rutaceae family, likely originated in Southeast Asia and have since spread to subtropical areas around the world. Like the fresh citrus fruit, Tangerine oil has a delightfully sweet aroma that can create a happy, contented mindset.

Antimicrobial Properties 

Tangerine oil is known for its antifungal and antiseptic properties, making it a popular ingredient in skin care formulas.  Tangerines have many of the same unique antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties as with many Citrus essential oils.  

CitrisSan® Grapefruit Citrus (Citrus × paradisi)

Grapefruit essential oil is an orange-tinted, citrus-scented oil frequently used in aromatherapy.

Through a method known as cold-pressing, the oil is extracted from glands located in the peel of the grapefruit.

Antimicrobial Properties 

Grapefruit essential oil is a potent antibacterial and antimicrobial.  Test-tube studies show that it displayed antimicrobial properties against potentially harmful bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Escherichia coli.
